Eton Institute, the UAE’s largest language and professional development training centre, provided expert insights on developing skills for language training professionals in Budapest last month at the EAQUALS (Evaluation & Accreditation of Quality in Language Services) annual conference. Attended by over 200 language education professionals from over 30 countries, the event gave participants the opportunity to share best practise in the classroom, including quality management, curriculum and assessment as well as business and marketing management.
As one of the first institutes to achieve EAQUALS accreditation in the region, Eton Institute shared its expertise in putting the customer at the heart of cultural language training, both in and beyond the classroom, and how being in a culturally diverse environment can benefit language learners.
“The UAE is a truly multicultural society, blending many different languages and backgrounds. We actively recruit people from all over the world; our team includes more than 50 nationalities and speak more than 20 languages, creating a rich cultural environment. This means we are perfectly placed to create a unique customer experience that is both engaging and very personal. Each student becomes part of the Eton Institute community from the very first time they contact us,” commented Erica Hunt, Learning & Development Manager at Eton Institute. “Through our cultural evenings, free courses, travel blogs, restaurant outings and other popular community events, we take learning beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to experience an exciting range of languages in real life, social situations,” she added.
