Sony Middle East and Africa FZE today announced the launch of the ‘Amazing Spider-Man Mission’, the augmented reality (AR) app developed by Sony to commemorate the release of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’.

Exclusively created for the Sony Boutique at Dubai Mall and the Jumbo stores at the Mall of the Emirates and Dalma Mall, the app is free to download for the Android version OS 4.0 or above.

The app has five components that trigger off different missions. On completing each mission, players get an opportunity to take a 3D augmented reality snap with Spider-Man in various poses depending on the mission cleared.

Consumers are required to first download ‘The Amazing Spider-Man Mission’ app from Google Play or from http://www.sony.net/asm-mission. Following this process, consumers need to visit selected Sony/Jumbo Showrooms to activate the app and complete the AR mission.

The Amazing Spider-Man Mission can be completed in 15 different languages at more than 500 Sony brand shops in over 39 countries.  

In the UAE, Sony consumers can enjoy participating in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man Mission’ at the Sony Boutique at Dubai Mall and Jumbo stores at the Mall of the Emirates and Dalma Mall.
