An Acer survey reveals that 45 percent of UAE residents use GITEX shopper to purchase all their IT products.

The survey also revealed that purchasing decisions were swayed in equal measure by brand loyalty, and deals on offer during shopper, while only 12 percent considered the price of the products as the defining factor.

40 percent of UAE residents are looking to buy a combination of a tablet, Smartphone or a 2-in-1 PC, whereas 20 percent is looking to buy all three. Another 10 percent are in the market for a 2-in-1 PC. Smartphones are an agenda for 15 percent of residents, and another 15 percent are inclined towards a tablet.

The survey highlights the rise in adoption of touch devices in the UAE, even as Acer makes a host of its touch enabled devices available at GITEX shopper, including the awe inspiring R7, elegant S7 Ultrabook along with a host of android and windows based tablets.
