In partnership with DFS Group - the world’s leading travel retailer, Abu Dhabi International Airport opened its new ‘Fragrances by DFS’ boutique. The new boutique located in Terminal 3 is luxuriously designed over 2,726 square foot, and will display a range of fragrances from around the world, many of which are exclusively available in the Middle East.
The unveiling of the new look boutique coincides with DFS’s Masters of Fragrances exhibition, which is taking place in Terminal 1 over the next two months. During this time, passengers will have the opportunity to discover and purchase one-of-a kind fragrance art pieces from various brands.
Mohammed Al Bulooki, Chief Commercial Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “The opening of ‘Fragrances by DFS’ boutique is another milestone in Abu Dhabi Airports’ commitment to redefining the passenger shopping experience within the airport. Abu Dhabi Duty Free is delighted to have maintained a steady yet significant growth momentum last year, witnessing a 13% increase in the duty free revenue fresh on the heels of the new Abu Dhabi Duty Free brand identity launch.”
“Fragrances were the second highest earner for Abu Dhabi Duty Free 2013 revenues and now the choice on offer of luxury brands has increased to meet passengers’ demands. The new Fragrances by DFS boutique in Terminal 3 has been artistically designed across 2,726 square foot retail space similar to a luxury high street store. The products will be displayed in a way that will offer passengers a unique experience created through timeless quality design with unique character.”
Highly sought out niche premium brands will be exclusively available at the new Fragrances by DFS boutique from over 65 fragrance houses. Brands exclusively available at the Fragrances by DFS boutique include DFS such as Bond No. 9, Byredo, Diptyque, By Kilian, Penhaligon's, The Different Company, The Fragrance Kitchen and Xerjoff.
