Aiming to be a dedicated meeting and sourcing point for the regional printing & packaging industry which is expected to touch US$11 billion by 2015, the inaugural Print Pack Arabia was opened jointly by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Saud Bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Central Finance and Mr. Indrajit Pal, I.A.S., Secretary DCPC (Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals) – India, on Monday, 7th April.
All the shows and the conference are running simultaneously and will continue until April 10 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The opening was attended by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa, Chairman, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah; top executives of co-organisers All India Plastics Manufacturers Association, DEMAT, Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association, Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association and other guests.
“It is a matter of great pride to see the unveiling a new trade show at Expo Centre Sharjah. The calendar of events at Expo Centre is growing consistently and I am sure Print Pack Arabia will be a landmark event for the regional printing and packaging industry,” said Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Midfa, after the opening ceremony.
The fair is jointly organised by Expo Centre Sharjah and the Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA), the apex body of printing, packaging and allied industries in India.
