Exciting, highly interactive activities for people of all ages combined with attractive prizes to be won and a more diverse range of vehicles on offer await visitors at the sixth edition of the Annual Al Hilal Auto Festival – Family Edition, which will take place from April 3 to 6, 2014 at the Beach Car Parking, Corniche in Abu Dhabi. This year’s show is being held under the slogan, ‘This is not a car show, this is family fun.’
Al Hilal Bank, a progressive Islamic bank, will also be throwing the spotlight on its famous 60-minute ‘walk in, drive out’ auto finance scheme, with competitive rates that start from 1.99 per cent and car insurance program at a rate of 2.25 per cent via Al Hilal Takaful. The festival promises to be bigger and better than its previous editions with a greater variety of offered vehicles—from the latest models of cars to motorcycles and luxury yachts and a select range of 2015 branded cars that will be unveiled at the event. The festival will also feature special entertainment facilities for all ages.
Visitors to the Al Hilal Auto Festival will get a chance to view more than 350 branded vehicles displayed from over 21 top-of-the-line brand exhibitors and test drive the cars on inclined tracks to get the real pleasure of driving. There will also be on-the-spot counters for opening of Seghaar accounts. Government entities, including Abu Dhabi Police Department, Emirates Red Crescent, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company ‘du’ and UAE Football Association, will set up their pavilions to engage the public and spread awareness about their facilities and their progress towards the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030. In addition, as part of the cooperative agreement with Al Hilal, the UAE Football Association will give the public an opportunity to take photos with the President’s Cup.
Mohamed Jamil Berro, the Group CEO of Al Hilal Bank, said: “All roads lead to the exciting Al Hilal Auto Festival – Family Edition to be held in Abu Dhabi. Searching for a new car was never before so interesting with several entertaining and rewarding activities lined up during the four-day show. We invite people to attend the fest with their families to avail attractive interest rates on car finance and insurance on wide variety of branded vehicles, participate in fun-filled carnival, win prizes and have a great time with near and dear ones.”
Al Hilal Bank will also be setting up a ‘Hala and Nassour Kids Village’ at the festival for kids to enjoy the dynamic four-day show while their parents browse across the many offered vehicles. Spread across a wider space than the last years, the village will feature educational facilities that will help children develop their talents as well as entertainment activities.
The event will also highlight over 20 kiosks where Emirati women, from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, will display handmade cultural products and restaurants offering multi-cuisine food. Al Hilal Bank has organized several competitions and challenges on its social media platforms with prizes to be distributed throughout the event. The festival will run from 4 pm to 12 am daily comprising new interactive and sports themed events and the Youlla traditional Emirati dance.
In 2013, the Al Hilal Auto Festival registered a footfall of over 35,000 visitors where activities such as Art & Circus Workshop, Laser Man Shows, Human Slinky, Robot Show and safe Man-Fire Show entertained the visitors. Members of the UAE National Football Team also visited the venue to add to the glitter and excitement.
