Emiratis supported by the creative lab of twofour54 today officially launched three gaming applications immersing local culture with the digital world.
Red Bugs, Shaheen and Unexpected games will be on hand for the public this week at its stand in Comic Con, one of the region's biggest entertainment industry events. Throughout the event, twofour54 will engage with creative talent, demonstrate animation techniques, run workshops and promote the creative lab community.
"All the efforts of creative lab and the support provided by twofour54 have resulted in a number of successful projects reflecting the passion of the young UAE talent for creativity, and I am delighted that these applications incorporate and promote the Emirati heritage in a unique and modern way," said Maryam Al Mheiri, Chief Operating Officer at two four 54.
Al Mheiri stressed on the importance of showing the Emirati culture in an innovative and contemporary fashion through the contribution of local talent, in the creation of digital content. She also added that these new applications are the result of a number of workshops, training courses, and financial support run by creative lab, and aiming to explore and develop the young talent.
Visitors to twofour54's stand will also be able to meet the developers.
The newly launched applications are available for free download on Google Play Store and App Store in English and Arabic.
twofour54 through its Creative Campus initiative partners Cartoon Network Animation Academy, Gaming Academy in partnership with Ubisoft, and SAE Institute at stand 12 - Creative Campus in Zabeel Hall 1 at the World Trade Centre between 10am and 10pm from 3 to 5 April.
