Colonel Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Areas Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Higher Committee for Knowledge at the Ministry of Interior, has stated that the participation of the ministry as a strategic sponsor of the ‘Knowledge Management Middle East 2014’ conference, which will be held in Dubai between 10th– 12th of March,comes from its strong belief in the importance of cooperating and communicating with the different sectors. He also referred to the keenness and continuous efforts of the police to deliver the best services possible to the public.
He stressed the ministry’s keenness of spreading the concept of knowledge, as well as its firm belief in the importance of knowledge, since we live in the age of knowledge and technology. He alsodiscussed those who have knowledge but are not capable of managing and utilizing it in the best manner, andare not able to face the challenges and risks associated with competition as they strive for excellence.
“Our interest at the Ministry of Interior in paying attention to knowledge managementcomes from its important role in policing and security, as well as from collecting, analyzing, and quickly sharing accurate information and achieving realistic and precise goals.”
At the end of his statement, he wished for the conference to realize its goals of enhancing and spreading knowledge as a pioneering culture that stimulates creativity and innovation, achieving development in our societies, and delivering recommendations and results that fulfill the goals we all seek through the participation of experts known for their contributions and efforts in this field.
