In support of the UAE leadership’s vision and direction towards community solidarity and cohesion between all social segments, the UAE Red Crescent Authority and Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) signed an agreement to support one another in their charitable and humanitarian works. The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Hoda I. Al Khamis-Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and H.E Dr. Mohamed Ateeq Al Falahi, the UAE Red Crescent General Secretary.
Part of the agreement designates the Red Crescent as the one of the charitable recipients of the Abu Dhabi Festival ticket sale revenue; to support the Red Crescent activities in and outside the UAE. This agreement is effective immediately through the current Abu Dhabi Festival 2014, which is taking place from the 2 - 31 March under the theme ‘Creative Innovation.’
H.E Dr. Mohamed Ateeq Al Falahi, the UAE Red Crescent General Secretary, said: “the UAE Red Crescent Authority embodies the direction of the UAE leadership, and places humanitarian and charitable partnerships, both with public and private institutions, as a top priority. The partnerships we build are the main supporters of the humanitarian programmes that the Red Crescent Authority executes locally and internationally.
The charitable work we conduct within our beloved country is largely dependent on the strength of these partnerships, therefore, we are extremely proud to have ADMAF as a principle partner to the UAE red crescent; supporting us in accomplishing our humanitarian efforts towards those in need wherever they are. We hope that the partnership with ADMAF is a positive step towards more collaborations and partnerships in the future for the UAE Red Crescent Authority.
H.E. Hoda I. Al Khamis - Kanoo, Founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF): “Sustainable development cannot neglect the importance of charitable and humanitarian volunteer work, especially in promoting community cohesion and national solidarity. And we, in ADMAF, by signing this agreement with the UAE Red Crescent Authority, accept the responsibility of the arts to play a role within the humanitarian effort; including healthcare, fighting poverty, and helping the victims of disaster and conflict.
“Believing in our people’s dreams and ambitions, we work within the UAE 2021 Vision. Attracting over 29,000 members of the UAE public, we strengthen our role in society through the Abu Dhabi Festival; an endeavour that is strongly supported by the strategic partnerships we build with the world’s leading cultural institutions. This creates a collaborative environment for sustainability that encourages creativity and innovation in-line with the spirit of the UAE.”
