From 1 March 2014, the new range of cutting-edge appliances will be showcased in the centrally based,award winning Miele Dubai gallery. PureLine marks the debut of a completely new generation from Miele in over seven years and is defined by individual combinations, intuitive operation and stunning performance.
Reflecting an ongoing dedication to ‘Design for Life’, Miele is world renowned by its focus on its quality, unparalleled throughout the industry, timelessness and innovation.Featuring built-in kitchen applicances ranging from ovens, steam cookers, coffee machines, microwave ovens, and cooker hoods, the newPureLine range has been designed by Miele head designer Andreas Enslin and his team, inspired by themodern habits and needs of today’s consumers.
Of the new range, Enslin comments, “The world is constantly changing and, with it, the habits and needs of our customers. As part of our commitment to produce products that are designed for life, we make every effort in our designs to ensure that they do not age prematurely, neither aesthetically nor technically speaking. To do that, we need to have a profound knowledge of customers’ current and future needs – and to take these seriously.”
Design for Life
Chic and contemporary, the minimalistic PureLine range perfectly lends itself to a variety of kitchen styles. As part of Miele’s ongoing commitment to design products for life, all appliances fit seamlessly with modern lifestyles. Defined by an extensive use of glass, all appliances are intended to integrate seamlessly with each other, allowing for a clean, continuous linear design and even greater versatility and user convenience in the kitchen.
With the sophisticated Dubai consumer in mind, the PureLine range is available in a range of four contemporary colour palettes. Models are available in CleanSteel, featuring jet-black glass and stainless steel finishes, Brilliant White, defined by augmented white glass and elements of chrome, conveying a streamlined simplicity, Obsidian black, characterized by great depth of colour and brilliance, and Havana Brown, featuring on-trend natural, warm tones.
Technical Perfection for Connoisseurs
Redefining the cooking experience, the PureLine range features pioneering technology, with adynamic and integrated M-touch user interface. The fully integrated displays are extremely efficient and highly intuitive. The menu is browsed by swiping or scrolling with the tip of a finger, similar to the technology found in today’s smart phones.
M-Touch allows users to instantly find an automatic programme, quickly identify an operating mode or adjust the temperature in a few simple steps. Functions and menu options appear in brilliantly clear white text or symbols set against a black background to ensure readability.
“Touch controls have made extremely rapid inroads,” notes Andreas Enslin, adding, “Their popularity lies in the fact that they are modern and embrace future needs and cater for calls for simple, intuitive interfaces which boil things down to the essentials.”
Trend Setting Features
The range is intended to cater for individual demands, with a host of new and exciting intricately design-led elements, with the simple objective of making consumer’s lives easier.
One notable appliance is PureLine’s True Brew, a coffee machine which promises to produce the perfect cup.Boasting a variety of superior features, the machine benefits from a new cup sensorwhich automatically adjusts the height of the spout to the size of the cup or glass,regardless of whether it’s a tall latte macchiato glass or delicate espresso cup.The cup sensor even reacts precisely to beverages made with milk froth by raising the spout 1cm after delivering milk froth, keeping the spout clean throughout the process. Additionally, the sophisticated ‘One Touch for Two’ option allows for two cups of coffee to be prepared simultaneously, reducing preparation time and allowing for more quality time as both beverages can be served together.
Further highlights from the collection include the new MultiSteam feature which featuresan external steam generator whereby steam is distributed via eight inlets, each one ideally positioned to provide even heat distribution, precise temperature controls and shorter heat-up times. The all-in-one Combi-Steamer (DGC XL) combines the dual benefits of the Miele oven and steamer and boasts Moisture Plus, an exclusive feature which delivers professional cooking technology to domestic kitchens byinjectingsmall quantities of steam throughout the cooking process, ensuring roasted meats remain moist and baked goods are prepared with a glossy crust. The machine’s warmer drawer can also be used for a variety of applications well beyond heating crockery, from making yoghurt, defrosting food, melting chocolate or gelatin and slow cooking dishes!
Additionally, the new range of elegantly designed energy efficient dishwashers are characterised by the revolutionary Knock2open door opening system. The machine door is opened automatically when tapped twice in succession, representing the perfect approach to the seamless integration towards a modern handleless kitchen.
