A Canadian Federal Police delegation concluded their visit to Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters after completing a training program to qualify trainers from Abu Dhabi Police on physical fitness testing programs. Trainers obtained internationally approved certifications in this field.
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met the delegation prior to their departure, stressing the significant importance of qualifying trainers to increase physical fitness among Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ staff members and establish a scientific methodology for fitness testing.
Shawn Smith, Head of the Delegation, expressed his happiness to visit the UAE and to qualify trainers from Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, based on the European model.
"Achieving security cooperation with the UAE is the main pillar of security and prosperity in the region. We hope to see this cooperation and partnership flourish," he added.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and a number of officers were present at the farewell ceremony. Both parties exchanged commemorative shields and gifts.
