Al Kutbi Commends The Labor Crisis Management Team In Abu Dhabi

Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Kutbi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Labor Crisis Management in the UAE, commended the excellent results achieved by the Labor Crisis Management team of the emirate of Abu Dhabi in conducting inspections on labor camps, and the exerted efforts.

These remarks were made by Major General Staff Dr. Obeid Al Kutbi while chairing the Higher Committee’s 17th meeting, which was recently held at the Armed Forces Club in Abu Dhabi. Major General Al Kutbi said: “We operate as per the directives set by the higher leadership. This approach has enhanced the government’s efforts to preserve the rights of laborers within a scientifically well-thought framework, and according to international labor standards.”

“The action plans adopted by the committee have yielded results that befit the work requirements for the next phase, and at the countrywide level,” he added.

He reiterated the keenness to adopt a civilized approach to handle and resolve disputes between conflicting parties. He also stressed the higher committee’s commitment to spread social and security education, and raise awareness of businesses and private institutions’ owners of the importance of providing decent living conditions to laborers and preserving their rights.

The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police commended the efforts exerted by the committee members to achieve positive results and implement the plans accurately.

During the meeting, attendees reviewed a number of reports and the efforts made by the government to protect laborers’ rights. They also examined the achievements made by the committee. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Labor Crisis Management teams from each emirate, in addition to the other committee members.
