The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has taken part as Government Partner in the fourth edition of the "Crisis and Emergency Management Conference 2014" which was held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza’ Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE National Security Advisor on February 25-26.

The conference is organized by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority once every two years. Held under the theme of "Preparedness and Response is Everyone’s Responsibility: Vigilant Community”, the conference this year will discuss many important issues and topics related to the management of emergency and crisis situations in various fields with participation of a group of key personalities and industry experts from all around the world.

“Our partnership with the “Crisis and Emergency Management Conference 2014" is an important step to raise awareness on the importance of response and preparedness in various fields to reduce and prevent damage which will be reflected positively on boosting economic development and enhancing security and safety standards in all sectors in the UAE,” commented H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of the TRA.

“We are closely cooperating with all UAE government entities to exchange insights and experiences and benefit from the success stories and national competencies in disasters and crisis management and reduce their influence on our country. These proactive measures reflects a strategic and insightful vision that enables us to overcome future challenges and anticipate risks and develop practical solutions and studies in an effective manner,” he added.

The previous sessions of the conference have witnessed the attendance of many key figures and dignitaries in addition to global industry experts. Such initiatives contribute to reinforcing the UAE’s position on crisis and disaster management global map. They also enhance the feeling of security and safety for the global business community, investors and UAE residents.
