Al Ain Traffic Section Participates In “May God Bless Your Efforts” Festival
(20 February 2014)

The Al Ain Traffic Section at the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate took part in the “May God Bless Your Efforts” Festival. The one-day festival that took place in the morning was organized by the second cycle students from Al Foah Primary School, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and a group of government institutions and private organizations that support individual and public health, as well as safety in society.

First Lieutenant Nasser Khalifa Al Shamesi, Acting Public Relations Branch Manager at the Al Ain Traffic Section, noted that the section is always willing to participate in social events and activities. He also praised the cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and the school community in the Al Ain city, and their aim of achieving awareness-raising goals. “These goals include spreading traffic safety culture among the various segments of society, especially school students at various educational stages, who represent the most important target group of the awareness process. This would contribute to increasing awareness of traffic laws, and the need for people to abide by them and apply them willingly,” said First Lieutenant Al Shamesi.

“The section participated in the festival and set up a special traffic pavilion where it displayed its Polaris quad bike used to educate quad bike riders who enjoy riding these bikes in desert tracks,” said First Lieutenant Al Shamesi. He also added that this participation coincides with the “Beware of Motorbike Dangers” campaign that is being implemented by the directorate.

Officers from the Public Relations Branch briefed the students from various schools that are participating in this festival on the functions of this bike. They also distributed a wide range of awareness brochures and commemorative gifts to the pavilion’s visitors, who varied in age.
