It is evident that Daiso’s popularity is ever increasing in the UAE as the Japanese retail brand opened its newest store in Ruwais Mall. The store spreads over an impressive 4000 sq.ft with a wide selection and availability of quality products like cosmetics, toys, accessories, household items, stationery and various other novelty items. According to Mr. Manu Mulchandani from Daiso, UAE, “This store is one of the many we have planned in the country to make sure that no Daiso store is too far for people to get to. We want to be available to them 365 days a year and in every corner of the country.” This is Daiso’s 21st store in UAE.
Daiso’s presence in the UAE, along with other countries in the GCC, is fairly wide spread and the brand yet has plans to expand in the region as a whole in the coming years; Daiso has 36 stores in total in the GCC region.
“It’s our 21st store in the country which is a strong indication that the brand is a huge success here. Customer satisfaction is very important to us which why our goal is to make sure that a Daiso store is never too far away for them to reach. We have plans to open 4 new Daiso stores every year in the GCC. UAE has been a hugely successful market for us and it is because we foresee much progress in the future that such an ambitious expansion plan has been put to practice,” said Mr. Mulchandani.
Daiso’s journey in the UAE started in 2004 and from then on, it has received massive popularity from the people across all age groups in UAE. In just 10 years, Daiso has opened 21 stores all across UAE; that is an average of 2 stores per year. Few other brands in UAE have enjoyed such steady success. With is ambitious and fairly achievable plan, considering recent developments with the brand in this region, of opening a 4 new stores in the GCC every year, Daiso’s appeal is evident in the country and the region.
