Le Meridien Abu Dhabi was inaugurated 35 years ago by the father of the nation, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - Founder and Former President of UAE- and Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II - Queen of the United Kingdom.

Over the years Le Méridien Abu Dhabi has had the honor and privilege of hosting other prominent and influential personalities like Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.E. Valéry Giscard d’Estaing - Former President of the French Republic- H.E. Léopold Sédar Senghor - Former President of Senegal - H.H. Albert II of Belgium - Former King of Belgium, H.E. Margaret Thatcher - Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, H.H. Juan Carlos - King of Spain – to name a few.

To celebrate its 35th anniversary Le Méridien Abu Dhabi is offering the “35 on 35” promotion, where the guests will enjoy 35% OFF on everything in the hotel: rooms, restaurants and bars, banquet and spa from 23rd February 2014 to 27th February 2014. To commemorate Le Méridien Abu Dhabi history, the art exhibition “A Journey through 35 Years” will take place in the lobby and will reveal exclusive photography of Le Méridien Abu Dhabi history. The art exhibition will be open for the public.
