The Emirates Women Police Association (EWPA) launched the Innovation and Excellence Award for children of the Ministry of Interior’s employees.
The award includes five categories: Academic Excellence; Talent; Volunteer and Social Work; Environment Protection; and Literary, Media, and Cultural Works. It aims to identify talented students among children of the MoI employees, to provide them with educational opportunities consistent with their needs, capacities, and intelligence. It also aims to encourage them to maintain academic excellence in a positive competitive environment, to enhance loyalty of the MoI’s employees.
Major Amina Mohamed Khamis Al Bloushi, Chairwoman of the Emirates Women Police Association, and Regional Director for Women Police in the Middle East region, said that the Award embodies the police leadership’s attention to its employees and their children, and its commitment to encourage excellence and innovation. MajorAl Bloushi also indicated that the valuable partnership between the Emirates Women Police Association and the various social institutions and entities will contribute in supporting the Award’s success.
Adding further, Major Al Bloushi talked about the Award’s various categories. “The Academic Excellence Award will be awarded to top achievers in schools and universities, in collaboration with education councils, education zones and universities at the countrywide level. It will be awarded under the supervision of the Education Department at the Ministry of Interior. The Talents Award will be granted to talented students in both scientific and research fields, or those who have documented achievements in one of these areas of expertise. The Volunteer and Social Work Award will be awarded to students interested in volunteer work and social service. This would contribute to instilling social responsibility in children at an early age. The Environment Protection Award will be awarded to students who advocate environment protection, and aims to inculcate environment protection awareness in children. The last category, the Literary, Media, and Cultural Works Award, will be given to top students in the disciplines.”
