In its first meeting for 2014, the Naturalization, Residence and Ports Affairs Higher Committee at the Ministry of Interior raised the subject of unifying procedures and examined ways to overcome obstacles that may impede work processes, in addition to means to develop regulations and mechanisms of the Naturalization, Residence and Port Affairs sector.
The meeting was chaired by Major General KhalifaHareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services at his office. The directors-general of Residence and Foreigners Affairs in the country, and a number of officers from the Naturalization and Residence and Ports Affairs sector attended the meeting.
During the meeting, attendees watched a presentation highlighting the Naturalization and Residence and Ports Affairs sector’s future projects. They also reviewed recommendations issued by the coordination committee and appropriate decisions were taken accordingly.
Attendees also reviewed and examined the comments filed by the Special Higher Command Committee, and agreed on the proper mechanism to address them, in addition to a number of topics and proposals on the agenda aimed at improving performance, and achieving satisfaction with the services provided by the Naturalization and Residence and Ports Affairs sector.
