Over 15,000 Emirati job seekers are expected to visit the UAE’s capital over the next three days, as Tawdheef, the leading recruitment fair for UAE Nationals prepares to open its doors tomorrow (Monday 3 February).
Tawdheef’s organisers, Informa Exhibitions, have this year decided to adapt the event exclusively for UAE Nationals based on the growing number of Emiratis visiting the show each year.
Taking place until Wednesday 5 February at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Tawdheef will have over 6,000 job opportunities from a host of government and private sector employers, representing a significant increase on last year.
Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) has announced they have over 300 openings for UAE Nationals which they hope to help fulfill at Tawdheef. While Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has 125 positions available.
Nasima Haji Al Balooshi, Emiratisation Manager, National Bank of Fujairah said: “Our target is to recruit 26 UAE Nationals throughout 2014, however we hope to exceed this target. Tawdheef is a great platform to showcase the type of career development programmes we have in place at the bank and to subsequently recruit talented Emiratis interested in working at the National Bank of Fujairah.”
There is a host of other job opportunities which can be viewed on the event website, www.tawdheef.ae/jobs. These include; Firefighters for Abu Dhabi Airports Company, consultants at National Health Insurance Company, Daman, personal financial consultants at Standard Chartered Bank, broadcast engineers at TwoFour54 and IT engineers at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.
Tawdheef’s exhibition director, Hayete Jemai said: “The actual number of available vacancies is even greater than 6,000, as many employers can’t put an exact figure on how many openings they will have throughout 2014. The exhibition is a great chance for jobseekers to search for that ideal role.”
Other major employers taking part this year include, Sharaf Retail, UAE Exchange, First Gulf Bank, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company.
They will be joined by Titanium sponsor, GHQ Armed Forces, Platinum sponsors, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), and Gold sponsors, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Cultural Authority, ADNOC, and the Department of Municipal Affairs, all of which will have current job openings and long-term career opportunities to offer Emiratis.
Organised by Informa Exhibitions, the powerful career platform is open from 10am-7pm daily and is open to UAE Nationals only, with the morning of 4th February from 10am – 1pm reserved for UAE National ladies. Official identification, Emirates ID, Original passport or Family Book is required to enter the show and under-18’s are not permitted. Visitor registration and more information is available online at www.tawdheef.ae.
