The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a specialized course to motivate initiative and project managers to obtain the PRINCE2 “Certified Project Manager” international certification.
A number of initiative and project managers at Abu Dhabi Police have joined the sixth ‘PRINCE2’ “Certified Project Manager” certification course, which recently concluded at the Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, noted that these courses aim to enhance the skills and efficiency of the initiative and project managers at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. “It is one of the most important international certifications given worldwide in the field of project management. This certification will be legally binding for all initiative and project managers at the police leadership level, due to its importance in developing human resources, Regarded as the key component of any successful project,” he said.
The ‘PRINCE2’ certification is a process-based approach for project management in Controlled Environments used as the truly international standard for project management worldwide. The ‘PRINCE2’ (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured project management method based on experience drawn from thousands of projects - and from the contributions of countless project sponsors, Project Managers, project teams, academics, trainers and consultants.
The Project Management Office at the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate, the General Secretariat of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, organizes special ‘PRINCE2’ courses, in an effort to achieve the strategic objective of “a police organization that is efficiently and effectively managed”, in order to raise the efficiency and skills of initiative and project managers at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
