Lieutenant General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the final rehearsal for the graduation ceremony of the 24th batch of male university graduates and the 8th batch of female university graduates, at the Police College in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The graduation ceremony is scheduled to take place next Tuesday.
Despite the police tradition that values military hierarchy, Sheikh Saif spontaneously sat with the college students and recruits and listened to their thoughts and perceptions. His Highness eased the students’ concerns and apprehension they may feel on this important day in their life, and brought joy, confidence and trust into their hearts.
While students were competing to take commemorative pictures with their leader, His Highness Sheikh Saif expressed his pride in his children, the students and recruits alike. “The national duty of serving their society rests on their shoulders,” stressed His Highness, wishing them luck and success.
The rehearsal was attended by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Police College; and Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; along with a number of senior officers and officials from the Police College.
