Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will welcome a further addition to its diverse programme of industry events with tomorrow’s opening of EcoWASTE, a new exhibition dedicated to the rapidly evolving waste management and recycling sector in the Middle East.
Taking place from January 20-22 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the inaugural event expects to receive more than 50 local and international suppliers as well as 2,000 buyers and industry professionals.
Held in partnership with TADWEER-Centre of Waste Management and hosted by Masdar, EcoWASTE2014 will cover the entire spectrum of solid waste management services, bringing together experts from both the public and private sectors to exchange know-how, network and do business in what is rapidly becoming a multi-billion dollar industry.
“EcoWASTE offers a unique platform for investment and partnerships in waste management and recycling, and we are confident that this new exhibition will become a major platform for the commercial growth of sustainable waste management solutions,” said Naji El Haddad, EcoWASTE Show Director.
“Our first EcoWASTE will host a series of technical workshops and presentations on subjects spanning recycling, waste-to-energy and waste collection, with contributions from experts based as far afield as Finland and the UAE.”
The inaugural EcoWASTE is co-located with the 7th annual World Future Energy Summit and the 2nd International
Water Summit, also hosted by Masdar.
Showcasing solutions at the heart of the energy-water-waste nexus, EcoWASTE is a key element of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, an annual platform to address the inter-connected challenges impacting the widespread adoption of renewable energy and the acceleration of sustainable development.
