The Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section organized an awareness exhibition on the importance of equipping all vehicles with child car seats. The exhibition was held in a courtyard at Al Waha Hospital near the maternity ward.
First Lieutenant Nasser Khalifa Al Shamesi, Acting Public Relations Branch Manager said that such participations in the different community-based events and activities contributes to increasing traffic awareness and enhancing productive communication between the traffic departments and the various society segments, with a view to spread the traffic safety culture at all times.
Child car seats of different sizes and shapes were on display at the exhibition. Parents visiting the maternity ward were given a practical tutorial on the proper way to use seat belts and install child car seats. They were also provided with advice on purchasing, fitting and using age and size-appropriate car seats. . The attendees also received traffic awareness brochures.
At the closing of the exhibition, First Warrant OfficerAbdullah Khamis Al Saedi from the Public Relations branch at the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section distributed a number of free car seats to parents who have babies less than six months of age, to encourage them to take responsibility for their child’s safety on the road at all times.
