In keeping with Turkish Airlines legendary sports affiliations the award winning global carrier has partnered with Abu Dhabi City Golf Club to host a monthly medal tournament for members and VIP customers.

The inaugural ‘Turkish Airlines Monthly Medal’ recently took place at ADCGC where golfing enthusiasts teed off in an amicable one day competition followed by an award presentation.The club’s captain scooped the star prize to experience Europe’s Best Airline with return tickets toIstanbul or any South European destination in Turkish Airlines network.

Mehmet Akalin, Turkish Airlines Abu Dhabi General Manager said: “There has been such a thrill surrounding the recent Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya that we are delighted to host our own local competition at one of the finest courses in the United Arab Emirates, providing a fun and informal networking opportunity for our partners and clientele.”

Sporting history was also made recently by the legendary Tiger Woods who, while in Turkey for the 2013 Turkish Airlines Open, made sporting history as the first golfer to hit balls from east to west from the iconic Bosphorus bridge that connects Asia to Europe.
