The Al Ain Police discussed its preparations for the opening event of the new Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on the 14th of January 2014.
Colonel Staff Ahmed Ali Al Shehhi, Chief of the Special Tasks and Celebrations Section at the Al Ain Police Directorate presided a meeting to discuss these preparations. The meeting reviewed the mechanisms and ways of ensuring safety and security during the event, preparing the appropriate security plans, and deploying police staff to ensure the security and comfort of participants, organizers, and the large number of audiences that are expected to attend this great athletic event.
Additionally, the meeting witnessed the assignment of policing roles, missions, and duties to all police authorities working at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. These measures aim at fostering public safety in order to allow the audiences to enjoy the football match at the opening event between Manchester City F.C. and Al Ain F.C.
The football teams and audience entrances and exits were designated and organized, in addition to specifying parking areas to ensure smooth traffic flow during the stadium’s opening match.
