Doctors region-wide have the chance to give a boost to their preparations for Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) examination, with courses offered by Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC).
ICLDC is offering the courses for junior doctors as they prepare for the coveted MRCP exam to participate in two, world recognised medical courses.
Interest in the courses is high, according to course leader Imperial College London’s Professor Karim Meeran. But he says medical practitioners still have time to register.
The two programmes, MRCP 1 and MRCP 2, are scheduled to take placeat ICLDC’s Lecture Theatre for three days, starting January 24.
They are accredited by Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) for 21.5 and 22 Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours respectively.
The programmes will be presented by Professor Meeran, along with DrJohn Chambers and Dr Amir Sam. All three doctors are specialists withImperial College London.
Previous courses held at ICLDC have received positive feedback, with one delegate noting that particularly complex topics were well explained.
“For doctors in training, one of the key hurdles is passing the exam for the MRCP. We want doctors to have the best possible support as they prepare for this difficult exam,” said Professor Meeran.
The MRCP 1 and MRCP 2 courses from Hammersmith Medicine will be held at ICLDC three times in 2014.
