The Al Ain Civil Defense Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Al Ain Center for Care and Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities at the Civil Defense Department’s building in Al Ain on Tuesday.
The Memorandum of Understanding is in pursuance of the strategic plan adopted by the Civil Defense Department, which aims to communicate and build community partnerships with various sectors, organizations and bodies; particularly those who provide services.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammad HamarAin Al Darmaki, Director of the Civil Defense Department in Al Ain signed the memorandum on behalf of the Civil Defense Department, while Mohammed Khamis Al Hadadi, Director of Al Ain Center for Care & Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities, signed it on behalf of the center.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to establish a coordination framework, enhance cooperation that already exists between the two departments, and develop the community-based rehabilitation system, through the dynamic and important role they perform. This would allow both parties to take advantage of the resources available to them and assist people with special needs and help developtheir abilitiesin areas related to civil protection and safety. The memorandum also aims to develop the mechanisms that will contribute to the implementation of joint projects between the Civil Defense Department and the rehabilitation center for this particular segment of society. The memorandum also included some items and clauses that would legalize and regulate their shared commitments.
