Committed to strengthening cooperation with its partners in the UAE, the Ministry of Finance (MoF), represented by the Department of Organisational Excellence, recently hosted an open meeting which was attended by representatives from UAE ministries and government bodies across the resources and budget as well as financial management sectors.
The meeting was held in an effort to enhance MoF’s channels of communication with representatives from UAE ministries, government and quasi-governmental bodies, and provided an opportunity to inform them about the latest developments in regards to the Ministry’s services and electronic systems, as well as to receive valuable feedback.
On behalf of MoF, the meeting was attended by HE Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary of Resources and Budget Sector; HE Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Management of Financial Resources, in the presence of Sheikha Bin Zaal, Director of Corporate Excellence; Azza Al Suwaidi, Director of Revenue Development Department and Sumayya Al Hamily, Director of Financial Operations Department.
Commenting on the meeting, HE Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary of Resources and Budget Sector, said: “MoF believes in the importance of enhancing relations with other ministries and government bodies working across the financial sector and this meeting gave us the chance to introduce their representatives to our action plans and services, and provided an opportunity for the Ministry to gain their feedback. We will continue to organise meetings like this in order to reaffirm our commitment to supporting the federal government’s strategy to consolidate joint work between various government institutions in the UAE.”
The government representatives were briefed about MoF’s government gate system and were offered presentations on the different channels of communication available between MoF and other ministries, government and quasi-governmental bodies. In addition, directors from the Policies and Accounting Standards Department, and Financial Operations Department held introductory sessions covering the nature of their work, their services and future developments, as well a review about their latest developments.
MoF also recently held a series of workshops focusing on the new Federal Financial System (12) for all federal government ministries and bodies.
