Themar Academy, a leader in quality qualification-based vocational education and skills training, will welcome students and institutions for an open day on Tuesday 17th December 2013, using the opportunity to introduce its internationally-recognized programs in vocational training. The Open Day will take place at the Academy’s headquarters, located in the twofour54 campus in Abu Dhabi.
The Open Day will see the Themar Academy faculty giving presentations about all upcoming qualifications training programs, and attendees will enjoy a tour around the Academy facilities and will be provided with further details about Themar Academy’s programs including fees and timings for the upcoming season, set to commence on 5th January 2014.
Hala Alturki, CEO of Themar Academy, said: “The Open Day is aligned with Themar Academy’s objective to deliver necessary vocational skill development and training that will be meaningful, relevant and transferable in the UAE’s evolving market. Our programs and academic specialists introduce unparalleled standards in vocational training delivery and quality, which will serve as the benchmark for qualifications-based training in the UAE and region.”
Themar Academy endeavours to bridge the existing skills gap in the workforce and is committed to strengthening the talent pool across the region by offering quality and job-relevant training aimed at helping individuals reach their full potential. The Academy particularly caters to those that did not complete or did not pursue secondary education, and are looking to receive international certificates in various fields such as accounting, marketing, media, customer service, entrepreneurship and management, training and education, as well as English. Themar Academy programs and certificates are equivalent to that of high school degrees, with the option to pursue additional coursework that would then equate to a bachelor’s degree.
Themar Academy is the first private center to seek approval by the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education & Training (ACTVET) for the delivery of NQA qualifications-based training, and has already been accredited by the UK’s Institute of Leadership & Management Institute (ILM) and City & Guilds. The Academy is also in the process of becoming accredited by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA), which will further bridge the gap between skills supply and demand in the UAE market.
