Emirates Motor Company (EMC), Mercedes-Benz authorized distributors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, has collaborated with National Aviation Services (NAS), an internationally recognized aviation services provider, to use Mercedes-Benz GL Classes as shuttle services at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s new VIP Terminal, set to open in December 2013.

The formal signing ceremony between Mr. Hassan El-Houry, NAS Chief Executive Officer and Mr Kamal Rafih, EMC General Manager was also attended by Mr. Mohammed Al Bulooki, Abu Dhabi Airports Chief Commercial Officer. NAS is Abu Dhabi Airports’ partner in operating and managing the VIP Terminal, along with a few other passenger services at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Separate from Terminals 1 and 3, the VIP Terminal will still be located within the Abu Dhabi International Airport and will be providing services to VIP travelers through NAS, which also provides Golden Class services in Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminals 1 and 3. Amongst other facilities for guests using the VIP Terminal, one of the key features of the service is the tarmac transfer to the aircraft, using EMC’s Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

At the occasion, Mr. Rafih commented, “EMC is pleased to partner with NAS and Abu Dhabi Airports to complement their new world-class VIP Terminal with luxurious transportation services to further add refined style and elegance to their important passengers.”

Mr. El-Houry confirmed, “Partnering with EMC is a step in proving that the guests of the VIP Terminal will enjoy luxury and convenience at its best. The VIP Terminal is not only an epitome of privacy and luxury within Abu Dhabi International Airport, but is also a lifestyle choice for many individuals in the region. Hence, EMC and Mercedes-Benz were an ideal choice of partners as we believe their brands are as strong as our vision for our VIP travelers.”

Besides having a distinct immigration, police and baggage handling service and a separate entrance road to the VIP Terminal, VIP guests will enjoy private transfer to and from the aircraft directly in latest models of Mercedes-Benz cars. Furthermore, there will be a dedicated EMC Mercedes-Benz Majlis within the VIP terminal with entertainment for guests who are Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.

With similar visions to its partners Abu Dhabi Airports and NAS, EMC is also committed to providing best-in-class products and services, and these certainly include servicing VIP visitors to the capital and passengers returning home. It is important to EMC for VIP terminal guests whom are also Mercedes-Benz owners from Abu Dhabi or anywhere around the world to feel they have a familiar territory to resort to when they first arrive to the country.
