In recognition of Hilton Abu Dhabi’s eco-sustainability efforts, the hotel’s famous Hiltonia Beach Club has been awarded the internationally recognized Blue Flag accolade.

The Blue Flag is awarded only to those who match the strict pre-set criteria and the honor is a reflection of the hotel’s on-going efforts to protect and develop the Abu Dhabi coastline. The prominent Blue Flag was awarded following results from athorough analysis of water samples taken from sea water which underlined the high quality of the surrounding environment.

Wolfgang Maier,general manager of Hilton Abu Dhabi,said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Hilton Abu Dhabi and an award we accept with great pride. The hotel is a long standing favourite in the Emirate and we have always taken our ecological footprint very seriously and continually take steps to minimize our impact, while providing a seamless guest experience.

“As one of the most established beach clubs in Abu Dhabi, our high-flying Blue Flag will promote awareness of environmental best practice and encourage the sustainable development of beaches across the UAE.”

Hiltonia Beach Club has been a popular feature of the hotel not only with guests but with local residents who flock to enjoy the facilities of the 350 meter private, white sandy beach, in addition to three beachfront swimming pools, a luxurious spa and modern fitness center.
