Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said in a speech on the occasion of the 42nd National Day:

Every year coming to an end leaves us with an extreme sense of joy and incense-full memories to remember and contemplate. The inspiration takes us back to the first steps of our country’s founding father on top of whom resides Zayed, the sagest of all nations who instilled the noblest values and morals in the minds of generations.
The whole region acquired a borne high position with the birth of the Union. The Federation stood a role model in all fields upon the unity of seven stars that enlightened the country and the Arab peninsula. Thanks to the loyal people and our enlightened Ruler, the leader of the process, this Union became few decades later the dear home and source of pride for all people.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi are putting exceptional efforts to safeguard the country’s honor and protect its civilized achievements. These efforts ensure the security of the state, the happiness of the people and the sovereignty and stability of the well-established country. We are a closely united people, army and security forces, and we assure that the Emirates will be a nightmare for rabble-rousers and a heaven for its loyal citizens and visitors.

Our United Emirates have challenged the biggest laws of the nature of things where all that is born small is bound to grow old and parish. Our Union has been born great and thus shall live forever, fed by the never leaning determination of its people.

In conclusion, I can’t but extend the warmest and most glorious words of congratulations for His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; their Highness, Supreme Federal Council Members and Rulers of Emirates; His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Crown Princes; Deputy Rulers; the loyal Emirati people; and the honored guests of our country.

We ask the praised Allah that we always celebrate this glorious national event with abundant security, stability and welfare.
