As a strategic partner, the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ supports the Statistics Center- Abu Dhabi’s initiative to display the largest statistical map of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the world. The map will be displayed on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, from 1-7 December, to mark the UAE 42nd National Day celebrations.

The participation will include an exhibition of old and modern photos, featuring the Abu Dhabi Police’s journey since its inception in 1957 to present day. The exhibition will also display its patrols and its former and modern logos. A film about the Abu Dhabi Police’s Golden Jubilee will be played. Furthermore, the Abu Dhabi Police will organize a contest focusing on its development on the Abu Dhabi Corniche from 1-7 December. The contest will conclude with prizes offered to the winners.

Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the importance of supporting this initiative. “It embodies the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s strategy to communicate with various segments of society and provide quality services to the public,” commented Major General Badran.

The Director General of Finance and Services emphasized the importance of communicating with various groups and individuals in society and the need to familiarize them with the achievements of the Abu Dhabi Police through exhibitions. He noted that these exhibitions achieve the direct communication that would enhance mutual trust and cooperation with different sectors of the community and the public in general. “This is one of the most important strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Police that is in line with the directives of the higher leadership to instill modern concepts of police work and promote its social role,” concluded Badran.

The exhibition introduces visitors to the evolution of the Abu Dhabi Police. It displays old equipment, uniforms, and the communications equipment that was used in addition to other tools and old vehicles used by police officers in the early stages of its establishment. In the second stage of the exhibition, visitors can learn about the various modern techniques and the different services provided by the Abu Dhabi Police, which gives a clear impression of the extent of progress achieved by the Abu Dhabi Police. Moreover, the photo gallery features a set of old and rare photos documenting the historic stage of the evolution of the Abu Dhabi Police. A number of police officers in old and new uniforms, including the military ranks, will be deployed on the Corniche as part of the event.
