The Ministry of Interior studied its preparations for the celebration of GCC Inmates Week, which is taking place from 8th – 11th December with the participation of all Punitive and Correctional Establishments in the nation. This year’s celebration is titled: “Take my Hand towards a Better Future.”
Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Director General of Correctional and Punitive Establishments and the Head of GCC Inmates Week’s celebration committee for 2013, headed a meeting that was held in the headquarters of the Directorate General of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Dubai.
Al Shamsi mentioned that visits between the Punitive and Correctional Establishments from the GCC will allow the exchange of expertise in the punitive and correctional systems field.
The participants were acquainted with preparations for the organization of the GCC Inmates Week, and discussed other topics related to the event. Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Shimali, Deputy Director General of Punitive and Correctional Establishments in Dubai, attended the meeting in addition to directors of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in the country.
