Abu Dhabi International Airport Celebrates The 42nd National Day

To commemorate the 42nd National Day, Abu Dhabi Airports, the operator of the main gateway to the United Arab Emirates’ Capital city, is ensuring that passengers, visitors and employees will have an opportunity to learn about the UAE’s unique and rich history and that Abu Dhabi International Airport will reflect the Company’s commitment to championing the UAE spirit.

To honour National Day, Abu Dhabi International Airport’s facilities and buildings have displayed the colours of the UAE flag - an important national symbol of unity. To mark the 42nd UAE National Day, special events have been initiated at the Capital’s airport, in cooperation with airport stakeholders from Immigration, Airport Police and Customs and includes live entertainment for all passengers, henna drawings, cultural performances, and craft displays alongside performances from the Police Musical Band and a heritage tent displayed at the new Arrivals Hall of Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Passengers departing the airport will also receive gift bags including pins, scarves and other souvenirs.

H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports said: “As the gateway to the UAE’s Capital city, Abu Dhabi Airports recognises the responsibility it has to raise awareness of the country and its history to all travellers passing through Abu Dhabi International Airport. The Company is proud of its contributions to the UAE’s overall connectivity, and looks forward to celebrating the 42nd National Day with all employees and travellers.”

On 27th November, Abu Dhabi Airports held its annual UAE National Day event for all employees at its headquarters. During the celebration, the Company hosted the UAE parachuters who dropped from the sky adding joy and pride to the day’s celebrations. Special events at this year’s celebration also included recognition of airport employees who have been serving the Capital’s gateway for over 20 to 30 years to commemorate their dedication and efforts in elevating services and efficiency during the past three decades.

The event also welcomed performances by Dar Zayed and Mubarak Bin Mohammed School, alongside competitions that encouraged employees of all nationalities to demonstrate what UAE National Day means to them.
