Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) is set to host one of the region’s biggest and most important food, hospitality and beverage industry events this week. Attracting wide participation from organisations operating across the industry spectrum, the 2013 edition of SIAL Middle East Exhibition will run from 24-25 November, 2013.
Organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, the exhibition aims to increase regional understanding and best practicesin human capital development, quality control, marketing and technology in the food, drink and hospitality industries to both a public and private sector audience.

This year, SIAL Middle East will witness more than 1,000 food and equipment manufacturers and suppliers showcasing nearly 65 per cent of the products. In addition,a record 21 international pavilions from five continents are set to mark their participation at the event that is also anticipated to welcome more than 15,000 trade visitors from across the region.
SIAL Middle East 2013 will host innovative contests including a segment on mixing beverages supervised by Al Ain Fresh, a subsidiary of Food Company. The Association of Chefs Emirates in collaboration with the World Federation of Chefs Societies is also set to stage a contest for chefs titled ‘La Cuisine by SIAL’.
