The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE, today launched a programme that allows NBAD cardholders toredeem their NBAD Stars through an NBAD Visa card. NBAD’s Visa Prepaid Stars Rewards Card is the first of its kind in the region to allow cardholders are able to redeem their points with a card that is accepted at all points of sales that process Visa cards.
NBAD Visa Prepaid Stars Rewards Card would be loaded with an NBAD cardholder’s redeemable NBAD Stars. This revolutionary system replaces the Stars vouchers system. Whereas vouchers were redeemable at select leading merchant,NBAD Visa Prepaid Stars Rewards Card can be used at any point of sale that accepts Visa cards.
“NBAD’s Prepaid Stars Rewards Card, the first of its kind in the region, offers our esteemed cardholders a convenient and speedy way to take advantage of their earned reward points,” says Navneet Dave, the Head of NBAD Cards. “NBAD is now the first bank in the region to issue a card that allows cardholders to redeem their loyalty points.”

The benefits of the card is due to its flexibility and security, not to mention convenience, offering customers many of the same features and benefits as a Visa credit or debit card. The Visa prepaid card forms part of a suite of innovative Visa products and services that have been developed to meet the rapidly changing needs of Visa customers across the region.
NBAD Stars, the premier rewards programme in the UAE, offers all NBAD credit cardcardholders Stars for every dirham spent. In addition, cardholders benefit from extra Stars at select partners that include travel agencies, luxury hotel, restaurants, cinemas, spas, high end brand clothing,furniture retailers, electronic dealers such as Sharaf DG, Jewelers and venues such as Wild Wadi and Abu Dhabi Marina Circuit.
NBAD cardholders may also opt to convert their Stars to Emirates Airlines Skywards Miles or receive flydubai vouchers.
In addition to NBAD Stars, NBAD cardholders benefit from top security features and a host of benefits and privileges. When cardholders make online purchases, they have the option to verify the transaction with one-time password (OTP) or use their token-generating pin.
The privileges of NBAD cards include several promotions during the year that allow discounts with popular merchants.
