The Policies Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate at the Ministry of Interior held a specialized workshop regarding the Directorate General of Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the Ministry of Interior. The workshop was held at the Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS) in Abu Dhabi.

Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamesi, Director General of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments at the ministry, attended the workshop along with directors of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments throughout the country, directors of Police Departments, and a number of officers at the Punitive and Correctional Establishments in the UAE.

Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamesi asserted the importance of having this workshop for its effects in solidifying developmental procedures with regard to the Punitive and Correctional Establishments at police stationsand the Violators and Foreigners Affairs Department.

Captain SaeedAl Shamesi from the Policies Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate presented a brief explanation about the workshop’s topics and strategies of the Ministry of Interior. The workshop concluded with a number of recommendations in which certain procedures will be taken to accommodate those suggestions; the recommendations are within the strategy of the Ministry of Interior in presenting excellent services of security and police work.
