’Hydra Executives’, the new English reality-based TV program featuring 16 individuals and their quest for a USD 1 million business grant, gathered high interest and applause at the recently concluded ’MIPCOM 2008’, the global content event for creating, co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content across all platforms. With aims of driving the international exposure of the pioneering show that features Abu Dhabi’s booming real estate sector, Dr. Sulaiman Al Fahim, CEO of Hydra Properties, addressed key international distributors and players in the global entertainment industry during the event, which was followed by a showing of a short video teaser of the first season of the much-anticipated program.
With the pilot episode of ’Hydra Executives - Season 1’ scheduled for January 2009, the producers have announced that they are currently in the middle of filming the second season of the show, wherein a team of eight Indian contenders will be pitted against eight Pakistani counterparts. The show will highlight the drama behind each of the team’s and the individual contestant’s strategies and maneuvers to take home the top prize, which is a USD 1 million grant to fund a business venture of their choice. The novel concept of the program and its synchronization with Hydra Properties’ aims to showcase Abu Dhabi’s thriving properties sector have impressed a majority of attendees present at the ’MIPCOM’ event, which brings together key audiovisual, interactive, mobile and advertising players across the globe.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sulaiman Al Fahim said, “’Hydra Executives’ presents viewers with an exciting new program that combines at-the-edge-of your-seat excitement and high drama, while engaging them to a viewing experience that draws attention to the excellent business opportunities in Abu Dhabi. We have come to this event to share with the international entertainment industry the developments in Middle East television, which is embodied in the breakthrough program ‘Hydra Executives’. We believe that this show sends a powerful message that communicates the evolution of both the regional entertainment and real estate sectors, and we are proud to be the organisation to be bringing this convergence to global television.”
‘Hydra Executives’ is an initiative being supported by several global brands, including Range Rover, General Motors, Blackberry, Etisalat, ASUS, Panasonic and Debenhams, as the key sponsors of the second season of the show.
