The Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior concluded on Tuesday the activities of the Leadership Development Forum. The two-day Forum held at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai was organized in collaboration with the Middle East Public Sector Institute (MEPSI), affiliated to Price Waterhouse Coopers Company.
The closing ceremony was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Major General Lakhrebani lauded the efforts of the Forum’s participants, stressing its importance in increasing knowledge, exchanging expertise and honing experiences.
“The Ministry of Interior strives to qualify a new generation of young national cadres and modern promising leaders, and to empower them to unleash their hidden potentials; bearing in mind that creativity leads to innovation,” pointed out the Secretary General.
During the second day of the Forum, several working papers were submitted, tackling the tools and methods to attain sustainable excellence. Sir Paul Stephenson, Britain’ former Metropolitan Police Commissioner talked about innovation as a path to sustainable excellence. In his work paper, Arua York, Former Director of Information Technology at the British Ministry of Justice, shed light on innovative technologies for 21st century’s governments.
At the end of the Forum, Major General Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi distributed certificates to the participants; he also expressed his thanks and appreciation for their participation.
