The festive season comes alive at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, with magical moments awaiting UAE residents and guests alike.

Marking the start of the season, on 12 December, the resort will have a traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring carol signing and a special visitor expected to sleigh in. Each evening as the sun sets over Saadiyat and the candles are lit, carol singers will uphold the tradition of Christmas carolling and entertain guests with timeless festive songs.
The idyllic resort is offering the magic of traditions and warmth of the season on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The resort’s Mediterranean-influenced all day dining venue, Oléa, with panoramic views of the ocean, will feature a festive twist on The Jazz Brunch, while a truly exclusive experience awaits at signature restaurant 55&5th, The Grill, which will be offering a delectable festive menu, paired with the finest beverages.
While the original St. Regis in New York was renowned for the lavish parties hosted by Mrs. Astor, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort will uphold this legacy with its own New Year’s Eve celebrations that will rise above expectations. The Gala Dinner in The Regal Ballroom will create memorable moments in a grand setting, where an international buffet will entice while a nine piece band entertain, ringing in the New Year with fireworks on the sea view terrace.
The resort’s signature restaurant, 55&5th, The Grill will host a fine evening with pre-dinner drinks and canapés before an indulgent 8-course set menu and live music, while an alternative New Year’s Eve awaits guests at the South East Asian cuisine venue, Sontaya.
On the beach the atmosphere will come alive when DJ Liv Knight turns up the heat as the sun sets. Serving an array of tantalizing seafood platters and myriad of cocktails, the venue, situated on the white sands of Saadiyat will then start the New Year celebrations from 10.30pm.
To round off the festive delights all through December, Sucré, the resort’s pastry shop, promises a seduction of the senses with handmade chocolates, pastries and bespoke cakes, all with a festive touch, while The Drawing Room will serve up a festive afternoon tea.
