MoI Discusses Preparations For UAE National Day Celebrations

The Ministry of Interior has discussed the preparations for the 42nd National Day Celebrations.

During its meeting presided by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Public Relations Department, the Coordinating Committee tasked with preparing for the celebrations, examined a number of proposals and ideas submitted by members of the committee regarding the events to commemorate this solemn occasion.

The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, was attended by Colonel Obaid Al Zaabi, Chief of the Public Relations Section at the Public Relations Department, the Ministry of Interior; Major Dr. AbdulRahman Al Ansari from Dubai Police; and Captain Maneh Al Khatiri from Abu Dhabi Police; along with a number of staff members from the Police General Headquarters across the State.

Colonel Al Awadhi welcomed the Committee members, reiterating the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to communicate and interact with all segments of the society, particularly during national events. “The police leadership continuously strives to provide distinguished services to the public,” pointed out Al Awadhi.

Acting Head of the Public Relations Department indicated that the 42nd National Day Celebrations organized by the ministry will be held nation-side; proposals will be sent for approval to the high ranked officials. “The Leadership is keen to activate the role of the Committee members to unify all tasks and processes under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior,” continued Colonel Al Awadhi.

Concluding, he called for devoting great attention to interact with all society segments, particularly people with special needs, so as to enable them to take part in the celebrations that mark this national event.
