The Ministry of Interior discussed ways to enhance and activate efforts pertaining to human rights and studied the United Nation’s Human Development Report.
The Human Rights Committee held its second meeting under Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed NehkairahAl Mahremi, Head of the Human Rights Department in the Ministry of Interior. The committee adopted the strategic plan and agreed upon its work groups; they also discussed the proposed policies.
The committee touched upon the agenda concerned with the committee’s strategies in the Ministry of Interior, along with the preparations preceding the Human Rights International Day celebrated on 10 December annually.
Brigadier Al Mahremi asserted that the “police adopts creativity” and that the Ministry of Interior cares for all entities and the community, and follows up on programs and initiatives concerned with spreading the human rights culture while making the push to exert more efforts in the future.
He urged cooperation and the introduction of new ideas enhancing the spread of the human rights culture. He also encouraged activating the committee tasks leading to results that satisfy all concerned parties. Al Mahremi stressed the importance of consolidating the efforts in a way that reveals gratitude to this generous nation and maintains its stability and security.
