During a meeting held recently in his office, Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, received five awards obtained by the Education Department of the Human Resources Directorate General at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. The five awards include: Khalifa Award for Education in the field of education and community service, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance (Institutions Supporting Education category), the American Society for Training and Development Award (Supervision of Students Abroad category), the Gold Stevie Award (Human Resources Executive of the Year category), and the Information and Communication Award in the Middle East (the Educational Applications category).

Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director - General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier Jassim Mohammad Al Marzouqi, Deputy Director of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police; and Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of His Highness the Minister of Interior,were present at the ceremony.

Lt. Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department briefed His Highness on these awards, their goals, and importance. He also detailed how the department achieved them. Furthermore, His Highness congratulated the Education Department on this achievement. HH stressed the importance of boosting efforts to provide high-quality educational services to students of police staff members in institutions of higher education in the UAE and abroad.

“The Higher Leadership’s support and the directives of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, had a major role in the progress achieved by the Abu Dhabi Police’s Education Department, allowing it to obtain many awards,” indicated Lt. Colonel Khouri.

He underscored the leadership’s commitment to qualify human cadres in various scientific disciplines in the most prestigious educational institutions in accordance with the necessary requirements.

--- Obtains the Stevie Award for Excellence

The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ attained a new achievement to be added to its track record of outstanding successes, by winning the Stevie Award, the World’s Premier Business Awards. Notably, the Abu Dhabi Police received this trophy during the 2013 Stevie Awards’ gala banquet, which took place in Barcelona, Spain in mid-October.

Lt. Colonel Khaled Abdullah Al Khouri, Head of the Education Department at the Human Resources Directorate General, obtained the Gold Stevie Award, which is the highest ranking in the “Human Resources Executive of the Year” category.
