Abu Dhabi’s first standalone luxury shopping destination – will be welcoming renowned artist Tachi Pintor for his first exhibition in the region.
Set to unveil his portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Tachi will also inaugurate the show with a live painting of celebrated Emirati race driver, Khaled Al Qubaisi. The Formula 1-themed exhibition will launch at 7pm on 27th October 2013, also displaying portraits of drivers Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso.
Hailing from Altea, Spain, Tachi specialises in portraits of famous, historical, and culturally diverse figures. His passion for portraiture sees him exposing the true character of his subjects with extravagant use of colour and brushstrokes. He has established himself as an animated live painter, with an enthusiastic fan base from his live paintings at London’s Hard Rock Calling 2012.
Following the unveiling of his portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Tachi will proceed to paint the portrait of Khaled Al Qubaisi, the first Emirati driver to compete in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans at Circuit de la Sarthe in France.
The Tachi Pintor Art Exhibition marks the sixth exhibition to be held at the luxury shopping destination, reflecting its role as a centre for fine and applied arts in Abu Dhabi, and further enhancing its commitment to cultivating culture in the UAE capital.
Visitors are welcome to witness Tachi Pintor’s live painting at the opening ceremony at 7pm on 27th October 2013 in AVENUE AT ETIHAD TOWERS. The Tachi Pintor Art Exhibition will be on display daily until 6th November 2013.
