NCMS expects rather hot weather on Saturday

Forecasters expect a rather hot weather during the daytime tomorrow Saturday to become mild and humid at night, with some low clouds over the eastern areas by afternoon.

Expect light to moderate winds in general, with the relative humidity increasing during night and early morning over some coastal and inland areas, and a chance of mist and fog formation, said the National Centre of Meteorology & Seismology.

Winds are expected to be southeasterly at 10 - 20 kilometers per hour during morning, and northwesterly - northeasterly at 15 - 30 kilometers per hour by afternoon and evening.

Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in general, with waves being between 1 and 2 feet onshore, and between 2 and 4 feet offshore, said NCMS in a statement.

Maximum temperatures expected by NCMS are as high as 37 C (degree Celsius) are in Sharjah, al-Ain, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Qaiwain, and as low as 32 C on Abu Musa Island, Greater and Lesser Tunbs islands. Minimum temperatures are expected to be as low as 22 C in al-Ain, and as high as 27 C on the Tunbs islands.

NCMS expects the maximum relative humidity to reach 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Qaiwain, and the minimum to range between 40 percent, on Abu Musa, and 20 percent, in Abu Dhabi.
