The Abu Dhabi Police called upon citizens and residents not to hesitate to call the emergency service number 999 if and when necessary, emphasizing its readiness to deal with all emergency reports throughout the Eid days.
Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Head of Operations at the Directorate General of Central Operations, at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, indicated that the Operations Room staff members will be on call round-the-clock to receive all kind of calls and reports, to coordinate with the competent authorities to deal with emergencies in a timely manner and record time.
He pointed out that the Operations Room is equipped with the latest equipment and advanced high-end systems operated by qualified staff; providing distinguished services to the public, in pursuance with the quality and excellence requirements, and as part of the strategic priorities of Abu Dhabi Police. “Our staff members will be at the ready to receive calls and reports, particularly on special occasions such as feasts and public holidays,” he continued.
He urged motorists to drive their vehicles with extreme caution, especially in pedestrian crossings, agglomeration and traffic areas, and malls. Concluding, he called on parents to keep a watchful eye on their children during strolls and at pedestrians’ crosswalks, noting that maintaining state and public property is a responsibility shared by all.
