Al Ain Rotana, the only five-star hotel in the city center of Al Ain city, has opened a new wing to cater for the increased demand for luxury accommodation in the city. Comprising 48 premium units and a luxury spa, the Falaj Wing will complement the hotel’s existing facilities found in its Oasis and Wadi Wings, with its development reflecting Al Ain’s current growth and expansion.
“Al Ain is growing in stature as a tourist and business destination and our new Falaj Wing was constructed in response to the spiraling need for five-star accommodation in the city,” said Greg Allan, Rotana’s Area Vice President for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. “Al Ain Rotana can now offer the discerning traveller a choice of stay in our traditional-style hotel rooms or our new chalet accommodation. Whatever their decision, guests can be assured that they will enjoy the same luxurious high standards of service that the Rotana name has become synonymous with,” he added.
The new chalets in the Falaj Wing are contained within four individual buildings, with each building consisting of four one-bedroom and eight studio suites. All one-bedroom suites can be combined with a studio to create a two-bedroom set up, if desired, and all guests will enjoy access to the wing’s adult and separate children’s pool. Each of the four buildings has an elevator directly connected to underground parking, which can accommodate 122 vehicles.
In addition to the chalets, the Falaj Wing is also home to Zen the spa at Rotana, which is currently the only five-star spa in Al Ain. Zen the spa at Rotana features eight individual treatment rooms, a couple suite, Hammam, separate relaxation rooms for ladies and gents, two saunas, two steam rooms and a plunge pool.
Al Ain Rotana is popular with both business travellers as well as holidaymakers, especially families who enjoy the cooler climes, verdant landscape and peaceful environment of the city. The city’s policy of restricting the height of new buildings and respecting its heritage has made it a first choice for Emirati and GCC families wanting a weekend getaway.
“Al Ain Rotana has been catering for its discerning clientele since 1999 when the hotel first opened,” said Ayman Gharib, General Manager of Al Ain Rotana. “We have grown as Al Ain has grown, first with our Wadi Wing that added an additional 90 rooms and now with our Falaj Wing, which offers a new standard of chalet-style stay in the emirate, along with an unrivalled five-star spa experience,” he added.
