Magic Of ADNEC’s Moscow Grand Circus And Cinderella On Ice Shared With Children And Adults With Disabilities

Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) shared themagic of itsrecent live entertainment shows, Moscow Grand Circus and Cinderella on Ice, with more than 800 children and adults with learning and physical disabilities.

TheUAE Down Syndrome Association, the Ability Centre, Special Care Centre, Gulf Autism School,Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, Church Family Group, Gulf Autism Centre, the Future Centre for Special Needs, Zayed Higher Organisation Autism and Rehabilitation Care Centre, MBM Camp, SKMC and the Make-a-Wish Foundation were some of the community associations that were invited to the shows.

The special guests were given back-stage access to meet the award-winning Monte Carlo Circus’ festival clowns, members of the Didyk Troupe andFakhriddinAkhnazarov, one of the strongest men in the world.

Pieter Idenburg, ADNEC Group CEO, said: “Moscow Grand Circus and Cinderella on Icewerewonderful events that brought a smile to both the young and old over their four-day run. At ADNEC, we aspire to touch and positively affect the lives of all people in our communities, and we were happy to share the magic of our shows.”

Osama Al Safi, General Secretary of the UAE Down Syndrome Association, said: “We strive to put a smile on the faces of the children and young people with Down Syndrome every day. ADNEC made that task a lot easier for us, and we are grateful for their hospitality. I know the entire group found Moscow Grand Circusamazing, and many of them were witnessing the magic of the circus for the first time.”

YousefFadhelAlhashimi, father of Suhail, a two and half year old boy with Down syndrome, said: “My child thoroughly enjoyed the show – it was truly memorable. I would like to thank ADNEC for organising this initiative, whichallowed children with Down syndrome or other conditions to interact with the community at large. Such opportunities help enhance their social skills and self-esteem by making them feel more accepted.”
