The Emirates Women Police Association (EWPA) launched the “Your Eid is ours” initiative in cooperation with the Red Crescent organization. The initiative allows members of the association to donate clothes, blankets, and shoes to the poor and needy on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The Red Crescent organization allocated nine centers across the country that will receive the donations from EWPA members, who account for nearly 5,000 individuals.
Major Amina Mohammed Khamis Al Bloushi, Chairwoman of the Emirates Women Police Association, said that this initiative fosters social solidarity and cohesion. It also enables the association to extend a helping hand to the needy through the Red Crescent organization, which does an excellent job in the humanitarian and philanthropic field, both locally and externally. She expressed the readiness of the association to implement initiatives serving society by cooperating with all the sectors with a view to elevate the level of the members’ work and activate their role in organizing community programs.
She added that philanthropic work received profound interest by the members of EWPA, as the association is committed to developing community partnerships and communicating with society. In this regard, she referred to the “Your Eid is ours” initiative, which is the result of the efforts of the social committee in the EWPA. The committee is managed by Emirati women, who are highly qualified in interaction with the community and the spirit of the initiative.
